My name is Thakshila (pronounced: talk-shee-la) or Sheela. I was born in Sri-Lanka and moved to the United States ten years ago to be near family.
Grateful for the opportunity I had been given, I immersed myself in American culture and the English language. Knowing that here, success could only be found through a good work ethic and a generous and honest spirit.
I studied esthetics, received my diploma and became a certified skin care specialist. Over a four year period, I was given the opportunity to train under one of the areas best skin care specialist, and strive to uphold the high safety and business standards instilled in me.
I had dreamed of opening my own salon, and in 2006 it became a reality. Aiming for a more personalized and less image driven environment, I focused on spending my time, money and energy towards helping my clients improve the health of their skin and with that, gain new confidence.
Now, with the help of a talented, local plastic surgeon and the support of my clients, friends and family members, I am able to offer quality skin care services in a professional environment with flexible scheduling.
My clients come from many different backgrounds, cultures and age groups. Whether they are outgoing and talkative or shy and reserved; I strive to make them to feel comfortable and satisfied with my custom tailored services and products.
All of them are unique in their own way and so is their skin.
